The Legend of Sangkuriang
ReplyDeleteA long time ago, the ancient land of Sunda was ruled by a king and a queen who had but a single a daughter. Her nama was Dayang Sumbi. She was beautiful and clever but also pampered and spoiled.
One day as she was weaving in her pavilion, she became moody and distracted, which caused her to keep dropping her shuttle on the floor. Once when it fell she exclaimed she would marry the one who gave it back to her. At that very moment her dog, Tumang, a demigod possessing magic powers, came up to to her with the shuttle in his mouth. Dayang Sumbi had to marry him.
They lived happily together, and Dayang Sumbi gave birth to a baby boy, human in appearance but endowed by his father’s magic powers. She named him Sangkuriang. As the boy grew up, he was always guarded by the faithful dog Tumang, whom he knew only as a companion and not as his father, Sangkuriang, became handsome and brave.
One day his mother asked him to go hunting with the dog and bring her venison for a feast. After hunting all the day without success, Sangkuriang worried about facing his mother empty-handed. Desprate, he took an arrow and shot the dog. He returned home and handed over the meat to his pleased mother.
Soon after the feast, however, Dayang Sumbi questioned her son about the absence of Tumang. At first he evaded her queries but finally told her what happened. She was horrified and struck her son so hard on the temple that he collapsed. For that, the old king banished his daughter fro the court and she was made to roam around the kingdom. Sangkuriang recovered with a large scar on his temple, and he to left the court to wander about the world.
Years later, Sangkuriang met a beautiful woman and instantly fell in love with her. It was his own mother-they did not recognize each other. He proposed to her and she agreed to marry him. On the day before the wedding, as she was caressing her fiancee’s hair, Dayang Sumbi detected the scar on the temple. Horror struck her, for she was about to marry her own son, Sangkuriang. And she said to Sangkuriang that she couldn’t married with him. At the first Sangkuriang laughed and he thought that she was only joking. After saw the seriousness of Dayang Sumbi’s word,he became angry dan asked why Dayang Sumbi said like that. Dayang Sumbi explained that she was Sangkuriang’s mother. Sangkuriang cried, and said that he very regret to meet with Dayang Sumbi again. Suddenly, he ran away from Dayang Sumbi. Dayang Sumbi chased him, and she fell to the ground. Then Sangkuriang awakened to help her. Cried, Dayang Sumbi told the truth to Sangkuriang. She told that Tumang was Sangkuriang’s father. Sangkuriang didn’t believe her, but Dayang Sumbi keep trying to make Sangkuriang believed her word’s. After that, Dayang Sumbi apologized for any mistakes toward Sangkuriang. Sangkuriang forgave her and he canceled the wedding.
After that, Sangkuriang and Dayang Sumbi lived happily together as a mother and her son. Several days later, Sangkuriang met a beautiful princess, named Putri Arum. They were had a relation as a fiancé and fiancée, before they had married. They lived happily, and Putri Arum gave birth to ababy girl, named Sang Rama. And they be as a happy family.

" hah??" Sangkuriang confuse " what can assure me that me is your son?" " ok I will show the place where that hurt happened" both of them go to that place and Sangkuriang remembered by something " correctness I first have in belaboring by my mother in this place so you are my mother ? Oh My God mother ." " my son . ." say that woman at the same time embrace sangkuriang " Thank the infinite you have bring into contact I am with my son" that woman word then they remain with at home his mother.as usual he go for hunting,on the way without intending he hand jog a girl bringing clothes crate so that that crate fallen down then that girl take clothes and without intending Sangkuriang meaning to take clothes which mentioned to fallen down hold that girl hand which also take that clothes later;then they each other meeting eye and they each other interesting one another later;then they are intruduce them one of other,the girl's name is "Lara" a few days they are so closer and finally they are merriage and happy life together.

ReplyDeleteAfter hearing that the cock was crowed, sangkuriang began to realize that the allotted time has expired. at the moment, sangkuriang couldn't controlled his emotions until he kicked the boat upside down. He also wreak by destroying everything around it with his magic powers. the other side, Dayang Sumbi felt better because Sangkuriang failed to do these requirements, but she also felt guilty to her son. then she came to Sangkuriang , ordered to explain it all. When Dayang Sumbi approached and tried to hold his hands, Sangkuriang brushed off her hands and refused to met face to face. But Dayang Sumbi wanted him to listen her stories and she told all these things during Sangkuriang didn't realize it. After knowing that, he felt so melted and understood why her mother did this to him. Soon after, the condition has become silent. later on, Sangkuriang approached her hands and apologized, he also wanted to stay with his beloved mother as before. Dayang Sumbi felt pleased and touched by Sangkuriang's attitude. Then dayang sumbi agreed about that. Quickly, Sangkuriang can changed those feeling. They had lived together as his son and the mother. And they lived happily ever after.

ReplyDeleteIn a village in west Java there is a child king named Dayang Sumbi, she is a woman is very beautiful and good, no wonder there is a man who wanted to marry her that is Tumang, shortly before then Tumang marry Dayang Dayang know that Tumang can manifest a dog. And over time Dayang know about it, but Dayang can accept Tumang .
Over the past few years of marriage they were blessed with a child named Sangkuriang.
On a day Sangkuriang knowing that his father had died of suffering from an illness, but he knows that his dog named Tumang. One day Sangkuriang go hunting in the woods with his dog Tumang, and that Sangkuriang find prey animals are wild boar, when Sangkuriang started archery and about the pig's foot, it turns out that pigs can still be rebellious and they attacked Tumang. Sangkuriang immediately bring home the dog Tumang.
Arriving at the house were treated by Dayang Sumbi and Sanguriang sat next Tumang and Dayang. It was also Dayang Sumbi telling the truth that the dog was her father. Sangkuriang can not accept reality for granted.
Eventually over time Sangkuriang can accept what they are and they can better care for each other.
Until the time Sangkuriang grown into a handsome young king, a good and wise. One day Sangkuriang find someone who wanted him to make his life companion, and he married her. Sangkuriang parents were happy because their children can live happily with his wife.

One time there was a dog who is actually the incarnation of a king named is Tumang, he was a king who came from across the kingdom. One time he was walking around the village, because many times she visited the village finally Tumang fell in love with Dayang Sumbi. However, conscious of itself only a dog who could not marry a man.Finally Tumang decided to go to the cave to meditate, his imprisoned he requested that he could turn into a human again. Thanks to the perseverance and patience finally Tumang can be a king again. But there is a requirement that must be fulfilled the Tumang, so he does not turn into a dog again. The condition is that he should not cut his hair until the end.
Seeing himself who has become a king again, finally Tumang decided to immediately apply Dayang Sumbi. After the Tumang prepare everything, Tumang went directly apply Dayang Sumbi with his bodyguards. From a distance Dayang Sumbi surprised to see there is a king who was headed to his home. Not much later there was a knock the door, Dayang Sumbi nervous and immediately opened the door. Then the king invited Dayang Sumbi came in and said "there is what the king needs to come here?" Then the king replied "I come here you want to apply for Dayang Sumbi". Dayang Sumbi surprised to hear the words of the king and he heard it lngsung pensive. Seeing the Tumang said that, ultimately willing Dayang Sumbi in applying the Tumang
After applying Dayang Sumbi, a few weeks later came the news that the Tumang and Dayang Sumbi be married. All the people heard it and everyone was pleased to hear the news. The next day, there came a time when marriage Dayang Sumbi and Tumang lasted, the party run smoothly and festive in a royal palace, attended by kings and distinguished guests. At the same time Tumang and Dayang Sumbi officially become husband and wife. They are both very happy living in the royal palace. Although it is not arrogant Dayang sumbi will present state.
After so long they waited, the happiness is finally complete Dayang Sumbi and Tumang. They give a young son and a handsome aquiline nose, then the baby was given the name "Sangkuriang". Sangkuriang grow into a child who is courageous in defending the truth. He always according to what was said by his parents, though so he does not grow into a child who is arrogant, but he was always kind and help people in need. Seeing his attitude is so Dayang Sumbi and Tumang thankful for what God has given him.
One time Dayang Sumbi asked to Tumang "Why not cut your hair?" The Tumang was surprised and tried to hide his secret and replied "Oh no nothing, king just want to lengthen hair". Seeing her husband's strange behavior finally Dayang Sumbi annoyed. When Tumang was sleeping Dayang Sumbi venting his irritation, with hair cut Tumang. When I woke Tumang surprised to see he had changed into a dog
It was Sangkuriang shocked when he saw his father turn into a dog. Tumang also explained what happened in before.Listend the story Sangkuriang was sad. Because Sangkuriang so love to his father He was brought to tears, and tears fell into the body Tumang. Tumang come back into a human.Tumang eventually become a human forever without any restrictions.
And they lived happily in the palace

Long time ago in the Sunda Jungle, seems a spoiled girl who walked the street alone. She was a daughter of the king and a queen named Dayang Sumbi. She enjoyed sent messages with her friends for fun. Accidentally, She tripped an elephant that was taking a nap. So that, her cell phone fell into bushes. But she was lazy girl, so she didn’t find directly. She hoped someone would found it and gave it back to her and Sumbi will gave them prizes. If a man would have taken husband, if women Sumbi would to take her husband.
ReplyDeleteFew seconds later, out came a dog that had found her cell phone. Dayang Sumbi shocked, but because she had promised, and married it. That male dog named Tumang which was the incarnation of a forest ranger who disguised himself as a dog to kept the forest from illegal logging.
After that, Tumang and Dayang Sumbi had a son named Sangkuriang. When Sangkuriang already entered adolescence, Dayang Sumbi asked Sangkuriang to hunted together with Tumang. Eventually they both went to the forest. While waiting, Dayang Sumbi had fun and sent messages with her friends.
In the jungle, Sangkuriang in and out of the bushes looking for prey. They searched and searced until noon. Suddenly, Tumang barked which means Tumang felt something around them. Sangkuriang excited and felt that it was an animal. He asked Tumang to chase it. Tumang ran into bushes. Sangkuriang picked up a stone. When Sangkuriang would throw rocks at the bush, an ant
When Sangkuriang will throw a stone, suddenly Sangkuriang’s legs was bitten by ants, so that the stone is exposed and hurted Tumang. Tumang very surprised, he jumped and crashed into the durian wagon so Tumang hit a cart full of durians. Sangkuriang also took home the durian.
At home, Dayang Sumbi very happy when saw her son came home with lots of durian. Dayang Sumbi directly open that durians and eat while updating the status on facebook. When durian almost exhausted, Dayang Sumbi asked for the whereabouts Tumang. Sangkuriang answered " Tumang crushed this durian and dead", Dayang Sumbi who was eating durian, immediately shocked and ejects the seeds and durian shell exposed to Sangkuriang’s face. Sangkuriang forehead was cut and bleeding. Dayang Sumbi angry and expelled Sangkuriang from her home.
Ten years later ....
Sangkuriang has grown into a handsome young man. He was wanders anywhere until came in a village. He met a beautiful woman who was none other than his own mother, Dayang Sumbi, but he did not realize it. Sangkuriang fell in love with him, so did Dayang Sumbi
When Sumbi looking for flea in the Sangkuriang’s hair, she saw the injury on the face of Sangkuriang. Dayang Sumbi pleasantly surprised, she knew that the young man his own son. She tried to explain to Sangkuriang that she is his mother. However Sangkuriang not believe, and still want to married Dayang Sumbi. Finally Dayang Sumbi requested that Sangkuriang made boats and stemming the large lake within 1 day. Sangkriang afford.
Sangkuriang immediately made lake with his boat. However Dayang Sumbi felt very uneasy. Dayang Sumbi constantly looking for ways to prevented Sangkuriang. When Sumbi through the market, he saw a durian seller. And Aha! Dayang Sumbi have an idea! Dayang Sumbi visited Sangkuriang who approached a nearly finished the lake with a plastic contained the durian shell. Dayang Sumbi shown it to sangkuriang. Sangkuriang immediately fled in fear to saw it. She accidentally tripped over his boat, his boat thrown away and upside down (now called Mount Tangkuban boat)
Dayang Sumbi tried to stopped Sangkuriang. finally Sangkuriang stopped running. Dayang Sumbi said, "Sangkuriang, you are my son. Look at the your injury because I ever throw a durian shell, if you do not believe you let’s tried to look in the mirror ". When Sangkuriang glass, the wound was marked "Montong". Eventually they lived happily as a mother and child.

Dayang Sumbi is a woman who was beautiful, kind, helpful, not arrogant and like to save money. She really loved to sew, everyday she passed by sewing and continue sewing. Seams are usually sold to markets located about 10 miles from his home.
One day, Dayang Sumbi was sewing and she lost her sewing thread. After a long search for threads that do not meet too, in the end she said a promise that, “if there are people who found her thread, if men will be made as husband and when the woman's then it will be made as sister “.
And thread-owned Dayang Sumbi found by a dog named Tumang, Dayang Sumbi was shocked. But Dayang Sumbi must fulfill the promise that she said. But she remember with her promise, she was felt she had any promise, but all that was already. And finally Dayang Sumbi married with Tumang.
After a long marriage, and finally Dayang Sumbi Tumang have a son, he was named Sangkuriang. Sangkuriang is son of a lively, kind, not arrogant but does not like saving money.
Sangkuriang growing up, he's a tough and gallant man. But he was a child who was very dear to his mother and can not bear to see his mother when upset.
One day Dayang Sumbi tell to sangkuriang about a big secret, she tells sangkuriang that Tumang was his father, and Sangkuriang was shocked after hearing the story from his mother. Dayang Sumbi but also said if she does not like to marry with Tumang that only a dog, Dayang Sumbi was marry Tumang because to fulfill her promise.
Direct sangkuriang sad, angry and disappointed after knowed that his father is a dog. Sangkuriang straight away from home, he was very angry because his father was a dog. Sangkuriang one day found a beautiful woman named Sunarsih, Sangkuriang fall in love with Sunarsih. Finally they got married after dating for some time.
Sangkuriang now has found his true love and live happily with Sunarsih and have a son, he was named Tangkuban Perahu because during courtship and after marriage Sangkuriang with his wife likes to wade the river or lake with a boat to have fun. But he did not know and think of her mother at home restless searching and waiting for the return Sangkuriang. On a day Sangkuriang go hunting in the woods looking for prey to feed his wife and children. In the middle of forest he found a dog who is very fat and big, after that Sangkuriang was hunt a dog and bring a dog come back to home. Sangkuriang not aware that the dog that he killed was Tumang, his father.
Dayang Sumbi do not fret because Sangkuriang come home for a few years ago she tried to wander to found Sangkuriang and Tumang who disappeared some where. After wandering for several weeks, the Dayang Sumbi stop the run out of supplies and break in a large house. She asked for help from the homeowner to rest and ask for a ride to eat at the owner's home. By the time the homeowner was out, Dayang Sumbi was shocked when she was saw the homeowner, the homeowner was shocked too. The owner of the house is Sangkuriang, Dayang Sumbi crying and hugging Sangkuriang. Finally Dayang Sumbi stayed together Sangkuriang with his little family.
The next day Dayang Sumbi tell Sangkuriang about his father, Tumang lost some where. Then Sangkuriang remember when he killed a dog at once is Tumang. Dayang Sumbi was shocked, but Dayang Sumbi happy because Tumang dead and Dayang Sumbi can found a new husband and a man.

After selection with various games finally come out a winner, the winner's name is Somad. Somad is a man of polite, kind and do not like all sorts.
Dayang Sumbi and Somad finally married, the wedding attendants. Dayang Sumbi and Sangkuriang happy because it has a good father. Dayang Sumbi and finally her new little family with Sangkuriang family lived happily ever .
