Building good character in the inner of the students’ heart can be done through various ways. One of them is done through ‘Pumpkin Party’. The students in the class are divided into four groups, and then ask the groups to make the cake made of pumpkin. All groups must not have the same kind of cake. Actually the activities will be interesting, amusing if cooking is done at school. But the problems are about the utensils that they need for cooking are not available at school, so they can do it at one’s house of the members of the groups. I asked them what they can get from cooking together to make the cake made of pumpkin. They said that they can learn many things together such as cooperation, working together as a team work, happy, respectful, responsible, share what they have together. The next day, all groups bring the cake into the class and each group give their cakes to other groups. All students will get many kinds of cakes. They share their happiness together with all students and with the teacher too. Take a look at the following photo, how happy they are!
